DOWSIL™ SE 9189 L RTV One-Part Controlled-Low-Molecular-Siloxane Silicone Adhesive/Sealant
DOWSIL™ SE 9189 L RTV is a one-part room-temperature moisture-curing silicone material designed for adhesive bonding, sealing and conformal coating applications. It is available in grey or white and has a flowable consistency suitable for automatic or manual needle dispensing. The product is based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and features reduced low-molecular siloxane content together with a solvent-free formulation. It cures at room temperature without the need for an oven, helping simplify electronic assembly processes and reduce thermal exposure. After cure, SE 9189 L RTV provides a soft, low-stress elastomeric layer. Typical values include a tack-free time of approximately 8 minutes at 25°C, tensile strength of approximately 2.2 MPa, elongation of approximately 235%, Shore A hardness of approximately 33, and lap shear strength on glass of approximately 1.3 MPa.
