Mobil Vacuoline 1405 is an ISO VG 32 high-performance lubricant in the Mobil Vacuoline 1400 Series, specifically developed for machine tools that require one lubricant for both hydraulic systems and slideway lubrication. The product is based on mineral oil and combines antiwear, oxidation-control, rust-protection and frictional properties. It can therefore provide hydraulic-system lubrication while also maintaining a stable lubricating film on machine-tool ways. For machinery where hydraulic oil and way lubricant may contaminate each other, using one common lubricant helps reduce performance problems associated with cross-contamination. Mobil Vacuoline 1405 also provides controlled friction characteristics to help minimize stick-slip during low-speed slideway movement, supporting smoother motion and machining accuracy. Its typical kinematic viscosity is 32 mm²/s at 40°C and 5.3 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of 96.
