Shell Tetra Oil 2SP is a low-viscosity specialty lubricating oil designed for machine-tool applications, particularly high-speed spindles, hydrostatic bearings and selected gear lubrication points. It contains special friction modifiers, antioxidants and rust inhibitors to provide low-viscosity flow, friction control and equipment protection. Heat generated by high-speed spindles can cause thermal expansion of machine components and affect precision machining accuracy. The low-viscosity design of Tetra Oil 2SP helps reduce fluid drag and heat generation while maintaining lubrication of bearings and gear components.
