Shell Stamina Grease RL 2 High-Temperature Long-Life Polyurea Grease
Shell Stamina Grease RL 2 is a high-temperature NLGI 2 grease formulated with mineral base oil and a special diurea thickener. It is designed mainly for long-life lubrication of industrial bearings operating under elevated-temperature conditions. Shell Japan describes RL 2 as a high-temperature, long-life grease for bearings in various types of machinery. The product provides good high-temperature mechanical stability, oxidation resistance, wear protection, water resistance and corrosion protection. These properties help the grease maintain its structure and extend re-lubrication intervals in demanding bearing applications. Shell Gadus S3 T100 2 is identified by Shell as the product formerly known as Shell Stamina Grease RL 2. Typical base-oil viscosity is approximately 100 mm²/s at 40°C and 11 mm²/s at 100°C, with a dropping point of approximately 250°C.
