Momentive ELEMENT14 PDMS 5K-J High-Viscosity Dimethyl Silicone Fluid
ELEMENT14 PDMS 5K-J is a high-viscosity dimethyl silicone fluid from Momentive, based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). According to Momentive’s official product literature, it is a clear, colorless liquid with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 5,000 mm²/s at 25°C and a specific gravity of about 0.975. Dimethyl silicone fluids exhibit relatively small viscosity changes with temperature, providing good heat and cold resistance. They also offer low surface tension, lubricity, electrical insulation, water repellency, mold-release properties and vibration-damping characteristics ELEMENT14 PDMS 5K-J may be used in heat and mechanical transfer fluids, hydraulic fluids, electrical insulating fluids, lubricants, water repellents, polish formulations, mold release agents, antifoams and textile-processing formulations.
