Shin-Etsu KF-965 Heat-Resistant Dimethyl Silicone Release Agent
KF-965 is an oil-type release agent from Shin-Etsu Silicone, produced by specially treating dimethyl silicone fluid. According to Shin-Etsu, it shows less thermal degradation and better heat resistance than the standard KF-96 series, making it suitable for higher-temperature molding and release applications. Dimethyl silicone fluid offers excellent thermal oxidation stability and chemical resistance and is physiologically inert. As a result, KF-965 can be used with a wide variety of molding materials except for certain special applications. It is a non-curing product, so no curing step is required after application. In addition to release performance, KF-965 also provides lubrication, water repellency and improved surface slip, making it useful for molding and surface-treatment processes.
