NOK Klüber Low Dew Point Grease for Ultra-Dry Battery Manufacturing Environments
NOK Klüber Low Dew Point Grease is a specialty lubricant developed specifically for ultra-dry battery manufacturing environments. Production processes for lithium-ion and all-solid-state batteries may require extremely low moisture levels, with dew points typically ranging from approximately -50°C to -70°C. Under such dry conditions, conventional lubricants can experience increasing friction resistance and reduced lubricity. NOK Klüber developed proprietary testing methods capable of reproducing ultra-low-dew-point conditions and used them to select lubricant components that can maintain a stable lubricating film without relying on ambient moisture. In testing at a simulated dew point of -50°C, the grease suppressed increases in friction resistance over time. This stable low-friction performance helps reduce wear on bearings, ball screws and other moving equipment components, supporting longer service life and more stable production. The formulation also uses raw materials that do not contain specific metallic elements such as Cu, Zn or Fe, helping reduce the risk of metal contamination affecting battery performance.
