Fomblin® Z60 High-Viscosity PFPE Perfluoropolyether Lubricant
Fomblin® Z60 is a high-viscosity perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant in the Fomblin Z series. PFPE fluids are composed of carbon, fluorine and oxygen and are known for excellent chemical inertness, thermal stability, low vapor pressure, low surface tension and good dielectric properties. Z60 has typical kinematic viscosities of approximately 600 cSt at 20°C, 355 cSt at 40°C and 98 cSt at 100°C. Its high viscosity and very low evaporation loss make it suitable for applications requiring a durable lubricant film and minimal fluid loss. Because of the inherent stability of PFPE chemistry, Fomblin Z60 is particularly suitable for vacuum, high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments where conventional mineral or hydrocarbon-based lubricants may be unsuitable.
