Galden® HT170 PFPE Heat Transfer Fluid | Inert Coolant for Semiconductor and Electronic Testing
Galden® HT170 is a high-boiling PFPE heat-transfer fluid in the Galden® HT family. Galden® HT fluids are inert, dielectric, high-performance thermal fluids available in boiling-point grades ranging from 55°C to 270°C. HT170 has a normal boiling point of 170°C. HT170 provides excellent thermal stability, chemical inertness and dielectric performance and is compatible with many metals, plastics and elastomers commonly used in heat-transfer systems. Its highly fluorinated PFPE chemistry helps minimize chemical reaction, corrosion and degradation residues. Galden® HT PFPE fluids are widely used in semiconductor and electronics applications, including dry etching, CVD, PVD, thermal exchange systems, test equipment and recirculating cooling systems. With a 170°C boiling point and low 25°C viscosity, HT170 is well suited to stable medium-to-high-temperature thermal control with reduced evaporation loss.
Product Details
Product Features
Excellent Chemical Inertness:PFPE chemistry provides high chemical stability and good compatibility with many system materials.
Good Electrical Insulation:Typical dielectric strength is 40 kV at a 2.54 mm gap.
Low Viscosity:Kinematic viscosity is approximately 1.80 cSt at 25°C, supporting good circulation and heat-transfer efficiency.
Low Evaporation Loss:The 170°C normal boiling point provides lower evaporation loss than lower-boiling grades in elevated-temperature systems.
Non-Flammable:Galden® HT PFPE fluids have no flash point, fire point or auto-ignition point according to the manufacturer’s technical literature.
Product Applications
Semiconductor Process Equipment:For thermal control in dry etching, CVD, PVD and related semiconductor equipment.
Electronic Testing Equipment:Suitable as an inert dielectric coolant in thermal cycling and electronic test systems.
Recirculating Chillers:For cooling systems requiring low viscosity, chemical stability and electrical insulation.
Server and Electronics Cooling:Applicable to thermal management of electronics and high-performance computing systems.
High-Temperature Heat Transfer:Suitable for closed-loop systems requiring a high-boiling fluid with reduced evaporation loss.
