Shell Tonna S3 M 32 is an ISO VG 32 high-performance machine tool slideway oil designed for lubricating slideways, tables and feed mechanisms. Its friction characteristics help reduce stick-slip at low sliding speeds, supporting smoother movement, better positioning accuracy and improved machining quality. The product provides good adhesion to slideway surfaces and resists wash-off by metalworking fluids. It also separates rapidly from many water-miscible cutting fluids, helping reduce cross-contamination and simplify machine maintenance. Tonna S3 M 32 also provides good wear and corrosion protection for slideways, gears, bearings and selected hydraulic systems. Lower viscosity grades such as ISO VG 32 and 68 are particularly suitable for horizontal slideways, while ISO VG 220 is generally recommended for vertical slideways.
