CEMEDINE Primer PP7F Primer for Polypropylene (PP)
CEMEDINE Primer PP7F is a special primer for polypropylene (PP) developed to improve adhesion to PP resin surfaces. Polypropylene is generally difficult to bond because of its low surface energy, and PP7F modifies the surface condition to enhance interfacial adhesion with compatible adhesives. The product is based on a polyolefin resin and appears as a pale yellow translucent liquid. Its viscosity is approximately 5 mPa·s at 23°C, allowing easy and uniform thin-film application. Primer PP7F can be used with adhesives such as the CEMEDINE Super X series. In CEMEDINE's reference testing of PP-to-PP bonding with Super X No.8008 + PP7F, tensile shear strength was approximately 1.9 MPa under normal conditions, 1.5 MPa after water exposure, and 2.6 MPa under heat-resistant test conditions. These figures apply to the tested adhesive/primer combination and are not standalone primer strength values.
