Taihei Kasei EIGHT SEAL AC-505 Dedicated Hardener
EIGHT SEAL AC-505 Dedicated Hardener is a curing component developed by Taihei Kasei Co., Ltd. specifically for the AC-505 pre-applied sealing system. It is a mixture containing 15–25% crosslinking agent, together with xylene, ethanol and methanol as solvent components. The hardener is not intended to be used as a stand-alone sealant. It is mixed with the AC-505 main agent to promote crosslinking and help form a stable cured sealing film. The recommended mixing ratio is 100 parts main agent to 10 parts hardener by weight, followed by coating, drying and heat curing. The product is supplied as a colorless liquid with an organic-solvent odor and has a flash point of 11.5°C. Appropriate ventilation and strict control of ignition sources are therefore required during handling.
