Taihei Kasei EIGHT SEAL AC-505
EIGHT SEAL AC-505 is a pre-applied thread sealant developed by Taihei Kasei Co., Ltd. Unlike conventional liquid sealants or PTFE sealing tape applied during assembly, AC-505 is coated and cured on threaded components in advance, allowing the parts to be installed directly at the assembly site. This helps reduce application time and minimizes variation caused by operator skill. AC-505 is based on a fluoropolymer crosslinking system. After heat curing, it forms a flexible and elastic sealing film that does not readily melt at elevated temperatures and retains elasticity at low temperatures. This makes it well suited for threaded joints exposed to temperature changes, pressure and mechanical displacement.
