Fomblin® Y LVAC 25/6 PFPE Vacuum Pump Fluid
Fomblin® Y LVAC 25/6 is a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) inert vacuum pump fluid in the Syensqo Fomblin® Y LVAC family. The Y LVAC range was specifically developed to combine controlled viscosity and a narrow molecular-weight distribution with extremely low vapor pressure for demanding vacuum applications. Fomblin® PFPE fluids consist of fluorinated polymer chains containing carbon, fluorine and oxygen. They provide very low vapor pressure, chemical inertness, high thermal stability, non-flammability, good lubricity and strong dielectric properties, together with broad compatibility with metals, plastics and elastomers. Y LVAC 25/6 is one of the higher-viscosity grades in the family, with a typical kinematic viscosity of 276 cSt at 20°C and a vapor pressure of approximately 6×10⁻⁸ torr at 25°C, making it particularly suitable where sealing performance and low backstreaming are important.
