Product Selection Library Completes a New Round of Reorganization
Looking up a single model used to mean scrolling through pages of chat history, asking two or three people and waiting hours for a reply — many customers have had this experience with us before. With hundreds of product models, inconsistent parameter standards and documents scattered across folders, even our own team struggled to find things over time. Last month, XIFUTE carried out a thorough new round of reorganization of its product selection library — a real overhaul this time.
The reorganization started with classification logic. Documents were previously piled by brand and purchase date — when a customer came with an application question, we first had to guess which brand they should look at. Now two parallel tracks are in place: one organized by product category — adhesives, lubricants & grease, fluorochemicals, silicone chemicals and specialty chemicals; the other by application scenario — electronics & electrical, automotive parts, machinery & equipment, semiconductor processing, precision manufacturing and industrial maintenance. Customers can enter from their own industry and reach the relevant model section in just a few steps.
Classification is only the skeleton — the real effort went into the content under each model. This round unified the information standard for all models in the library: model, specifications, product images, typical applications, suitable substrates and temperature range — nothing left out. The status of TDS, MSDS, RoHS, REACH and other compliance documents is marked separately: complete means complete, and anything being updated is clearly stated as such. The old situation of "whether documents exist — ask sales to find out" will become much rarer.
Why invest this effort? Simply put, half of selection efficiency is stuck on documentation. R&D customers making design decisions first screen models and review performance boundaries — without complete documents they cannot even decide whether to request samples. Manufacturing customers handling procurement and factory audits see their processes stall when a single compliance document is missing. With the library in order, customers can complete the first round of screening themselves, narrowing dozens of candidates down to three to five — making the remaining technical communication truly meaningful: discussing substrate compatibility, operating details and validation arrangements instead of chasing each other for basic parameters.
Of course, a library is not something you organize once and forget. New models are added, brands update versions, and compliance documents have validity periods. XIFUTE has built this into its daily routine: new models must enter the library with complete standard information, document status is reviewed regularly, and the entries for sample requests and document downloads are linked together. Website product content will be progressively completed to this same standard — what customers see on the page is the library's real-time status.
Between "finding materials" and "using them well" lies a series of smooth information exchanges. This reorganization is a starting point — XIFUTE will continue enriching its product lines and strengthening its documentation system, so customers take fewer detours in selection and proceed with validation and procurement with greater confidence.
