When a customer asks on the phone, "does this adhesive hold up against vibration on aluminum alloy", whether the person answering can respond immediately depends not on quick wit but on daily groundwork. Product models number in the hundreds and keep updating; service processes have also been upgraded several times over the past two years — requirement checklists, documentation status management, a fast sample channel, delivery tracking — and each of them needs people to make it work. Starting last month, XIFUTE organized a round of internal training covering the sales, technical and customer service teams, on two themes: product knowledge and service processes.

For product knowledge, the training avoided the "read parameters off the TDS" approach. The adhesives session focused on surface characteristics of different substrates and common causes of bonding failure; the lubricants & grease session centered on how temperature ranges and consistency grades map to real operating conditions; and for fluorochemicals and silicone chemicals, the points customers ask about most — cleanliness, extractables, compliance requirements — were singled out and explained thoroughly. Lecturers included not only internal technical leads but also brand-side engineers joining online, explaining the design thinking and application boundaries behind each model — knowing not just what, but why.

The service process training was more hands-on. Real inquiry records were brought straight into the classroom: where a customer's requirement checklist missed an item and cost an extra round of selection; which tracking node on an order wasn't updated in time, forcing the customer to make three extra calls. Both good cases and past pitfalls were laid out and checked against the process item by item. Trainees also practiced hands-on — walking through the full flow from receiving an inquiry, sorting out operating conditions and recommending models to arranging samples. Only those who ran it smoothly passed.

Why invest this effort? The logic is simple: customer experience is determined by a company's floor, not its ceiling. However well a process is designed, if the people executing it understand it differently, the service customers feel will fluctuate. New colleagues in particular, facing hundreds of models and piles of process documents, take far too long to get up to speed without systematic mentoring. After this round of training, newcomers have a complete learning path, and veterans have realigned their scattered experience.

Training is not a one-off deal. According to plan, product knowledge gets a monthly update class — whenever new models enter the library or brands issue revised documentation, related content follows immediately; service processes are reviewed once a quarter, with problems from customer feedback directly becoming cases for the next training session. Every inch the team's capability grows is an inch of professionalism the customer feels — this is XIFUTE's most down-to-earth understanding of "from finding materials to using them well".
